In just a few short months we are all going to be singing "tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999" at the top of our lungs!! What other songs do you want to dance to??? Hey everyone!
I can't believe Spring is almost here, which means final details of the reunion are getting wrapped up. Thanks to everyone for your input thus far!

Just some things to keep in mind...

• I will be sending out paper invitations to home addresses in June. If you haven't emailed me your address, please send it to towers_b@yahoo.com! Check with your friends too-- I've only gotten about 50 addresses! The reason I am doing paper invitations is because I will enclose a rsvp card and envelope. It is important that I have an accurate count for food, and receive payments ahead of time as all expenses are coming out of my pocket.


• The "picnic" will be a family event, however, food will not be provided. I am encouraging everyone to bring their own food and drinks, grill, whatever. I just wanted to make it as easy as possible, and most of all, as inexpensive as possible.


• We will be having a slide show after dinner that evening. I hope you will all be able to contribute pictures. We are asking that you email your pictures in jpeg format to ecnh99@gmail.com. Please limit the pictures to one or two from high school and one current picture. Thanks to Aaron Stelter and Mike Erickson for putting this together!


• I will also be sending out a survey. Come on, you know you love them! :) It's a great chance to find out what everyone has been up to over the last 10 years. There will also be opportunities to win prizes through some of the questions. But, I need your help!! If anyone has ideas for good questions, please let me know!!

It looks like the email about the blog has gotten around to many classmates, good work! I appreciate the emails from those of you who sent your contact information already. If you haven't done so yet, we obviously have time, but it is nice to get a head start on some of this. Thank you for voting on the polls! So far, it looks like most people would like to have a picnic and dinner/dance. I will plan on booking both locations in early October, and once that is done...I will post our "save the date" !! :) I have added a couple more questions, so please check those out as well.

WELCOME!!

Welcome to the NHS Blog!

I am hopeful that many, if not all, of our classmates will get a chance to visit this blog often as way of communicating about the 10 year reunion. I know many of us have a facebook or myspace account, but I also know there are some who are hesitant about starting an account, and this way--everyone can view the information.
I want to get a head start on planning the event, as summer 2009 will be here before we know it! I have gotten a few ideas and suggestions from some classmates as to when and where to hold the event. So far, many think August will be a good time, and the Eagles Club in Hallie has been mentioned as well. However, obviously I am not in contact with everyone, and really want to make this an event that the majority of our class feels comfortable attending.
Please take a look at the polls listed on the side of the page, and check back periodically as I will be asking for feedback through the polls. Please give input, and suggest your friends do the same! Within the next month, I will be able to book a pavilion at a park, if we so choose. At that time I will also book the reception hall. With that said, if you would like a say in the event, please vote sooner rather than later.
Also, probably the biggest and most dreaded task is contacting everyone!!! I will gladly accept your personal information at this point...if you don't think it will change by June '09. I know it will take some time to collect it, so starting now isn't a bad idea!
